Macca FUNKtion
Talent is only the beginning… experience it is everything. Macca’s career has spanned just over 10 years. From his humble beginnings in a shed at the bottom of his parents garden playing to friends, to playing his unique style of Funky & Soulful house in venues all over the UK. Since the early days as part of a trio, playing in and around Bucks Macca has emerged as a solo DJ with the experience that has led him to where he is today. He has played various nights in Lanzarote and has also held several residencies’ that include Delish @ The Square in Leicester. Today Macca is a promoter of his own House night FUNKtion, where he has helped local bedroom DJ’s fight their fears and join the world of big venue DJ’s. Most recently Macca has been playing @ Truly Scrumptious in Bar Blu in Southsea. He has a collection of over three thousand records and is a strong believer in showing the world that Vinyl is not dead, “you can’t play it if you can’t feel it!”

Pretty much loved the DJ scene hearing the likes of Altern-8, Smoking Jo and top buzz back in 1991  When a friends brother got a set of decks we used to use them with out him knowing and that when I got hooked on DJing.   In 94 I got myself a set of Technics, then played in a few places gaining experiance in Birmingham.
In September 07 I'm off to the mighty Technics School @ the School Of Sound Recording in Manchester for 6 months to gain a city's and guild qualification in pro djing.

Scott Clark

Started DJing 7 years ago, used to sit listening to old vinyl back in the day as my parents collected disco classics! Lived in Cyprus for over three years and spent pretty much every weekend DJing in Paphos, Limassol and Ayia Napa which was a bit of a dream come true. The biggest event I was involved in was a Ministry of Sound gig- outdoors with 3000 people dancing the night away! Stonebridge headlined and it was the best night of my life. Since coming back to the UK I've DJed in Newquay, Aylesbury and London, mainly in funky lounge bars. My musical style varies from blissed out funky beats to twisted dirty house- anything to keep the crowd dancing!

Tony Jay

It started for me at the free party scene with 2 years of dancing and raving hardcore  in 1994 with the cool sounds of trance and old school, then on my dance journeys I bumped into and joined  a crew called masstech pa which I then started to play out with.  Including Temple of Sound in Wigan and other Bars and Clubs in the North,

Then following a trip to Ibiza, I picked up the Funky sound of dance culture in 2000, just after hard house was sinking down, this gave me a vibe of the Funk which I then started to play in Bars and Clubs, this then gave me passion to put on my own music, which now I mix with progressive electro.

I am a very genuine person with a bit of good madness in what iIdo with my music ,life and I have a very underground orientated view on the dance culture, with a touch of styleness and a strong beliefe in supernatural spirit that can be provided to the people more than just sound in dance with good intentions with generosity to provide people what they pay for, and thats me !!!!!

Lonnie (aka, flight n bapcha).
My introduction to music came hand in hand with the spiritual vibes of the underground scene, learning to mix on the old skool, jungle, techno tip, and goin on to play for a massive underground organisation and lovin every minuite of it, living my dreams at a young age,
From then on I started throwing parties with the man like Domino, playing Rumours, Club M, The Waggon and on to Bagleys in London.
Playing funky house to deep and dirty electro, dropping sets recently at: 24-7 Funk, The Venue, Monday Club, Meat Bar, The Jam, and most recently over at the Beacon in Milton Keynes.
I can now be found running nights with Tony Jay under the House Proud banner.

Be sure to join us soon!

Glenn Norris

During his 10 years DJ'ing,Glenn Norris has refined his sound of Soulful House music to include fresh Jackin' House.  He started off playing bars in Hertfordshire, soon after he moved on to clubs
including The Warehouse and The Living Room.  His mixing is as good as any in his genre, always smooth on the soulful and quick on the buttons with the bumpy Jackin' beats.
He can currently be heard doing his weekly radio show on HIGHTZ fm(London 87.7fm) which he has been doing for one and a half years now.
2008 is going to be a busy year for this DJ as he links up with the HOUSE PROUD
collective and starts his residency at 24-7 FUNK.
